Almabtrieb, Germany IDF World Cup
The third world cup and first of the European series in 2014 is the classic track “Almabtrieb” hosted by Stephan Risch and Sector 9! Excited to have had the chance to take a film run with Mikel the phenom street luger once I found my flow down the course. Thank you Mikel!
Thank you to Stephan Risch for bringing the race back again, Olivier for running the event at the top, the course marshals, and the local residents for allowing us on this beautiful road.
Semi Finals with Kevin Reimer and myself.
We were notified after the first day of practice that the local police had used radar to see how fast we were entering Risch corner. Proud to have put up the top speed at 90km/hr followed by Kyle Wester after the +100km/hr straight!
A comfort in high speed drifting both heel and toe side into the last high speed corner on the track “Risch corner” aided in me moving through the heats making technical passes between and past riders in the shutdown zone. Some even said they were NiNjA moves!
A perfect track for a world cup race for all skill levels and styles.
